The Cambridge Food Bank operates two gardens on donated land and produces over 20,000 pounds of vegetables annually primarily no-till and low-till methods with absolutely no chemicals used.

The main tasks for this role are planting, hoeing, hand weeding, pruning and trellising, harvesting, washing, and transporting vegetables.

You must be have a cheerful and welcoming personality as volunteers from all backgrounds and abilities will work long side you in our garden(s).
- A background in gardening using organic practices is required
- You have experience supporting and working with people and groups. You are comfortable taking a leadership role and providing direction and guidance to others.
- You are a team player with a mature attitude and strong interpersonal skills. You can foster a work environment that is inclusive, diverse, and equitable, and that welcomes volunteers with various backgrounds and ability levels.
- You are comfortable working independently and have a very high degree of dependability and reliability.
- Experience working in a physically demanding role.
- You have a valid G level driver’s license and a clean driving record and comfort driving a van
- Current standard First Aid certification is an asset
- Be ready to dig in, get dirty, and work hard.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $21.30-$23.56 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
