**Family Newcomer Employment Outreach Coordinator**
**Part-time 24 hours per week ~ $25.00 per hour**
Kinbridge is ready to address the challenge newcomers face of obtaining meaningful employment in Cambridge. In order for newcomers to call Cambridge home meaningful employment needs to be secured. Kinbridge works with a holistic lens and understand that a sense of belonging works alongside employment. By working directly with families, you will engage family members supporting them where they are at on their employment journey. This means working on a spectrum of readiness to securing meaningful employment. Providing a neighbourhood context you will work with families connecting to their communities, and events. This model invites families to be part of the process. In order for newcomers to build a sense of belonging and increase their desire to remain in
Cambridge there needs to be a holistic approach to newcomer services. You will focus on newcomer families and the supports they need to ensure they are able to thrive in their new community. Funded by Waterloo Region
Immigration Partnership’s Economic Wellbeing Newcomer grant.
**Kinbridge is looking for someone who**:
- Is outstanding in community development
- Is passionate about building relationships, creating inclusive opportunities, connecting people and employers.
- Is skilled in collaborating with newcomers, partners and employers towards a common goal.
**Responsibilities**:
- Must work closely with Newcomer Engagement Team
- Partnership Management
- Organizational Responsibilities
- Implementation of Organizational Policies & Procedures
- Organizational communication and meetings
- Administrative Coordination of program
- Facilitation of conversations and workshops between perspective employers/employees
- Programs Services and Evaluation Coordination
- Support the monitoring of program budget and metrics
- Assisting with evaluation implementation and data collection
- Develop narrative, and evaluation reports for funder
- Attend immigration related working groups as needed
- Work collaboratively within a team environment at Kinbridge
- Outreach and referrals with partners and community
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- **Education**:Post-Secondary in any of these fields: Immigration, Diversity, Social Sciences, and/or equivalent job-related experience.
- **Experience**: One year of previous related experience. Employee and Employer readiness experience, community capacity building and advocacy skills, relating to newcomer and diverse populations. Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team environment, as well as independently. A strong understanding of
Cultural Responsiveness, AOP/anti-racist approach empowerment-oriented practice, person-centred approach. Ability to speak a variety of languages such as: Arabic, Somali, Swahili, or and Farsi/Dari an asset.
