Accounting Clerk

Position Overview:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for overseeing financial transactions and managing accounts payable and payroll functions. This role supports the company by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial processes, maintaining confidentiality, and providing necessary reports for fiscal year-end.

**Responsibilities**:
Accounts Payable:

- Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation before processing payments
- Enter financial data into the company database
- Perform data entry for invoices and general ledger entries
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Generate purchase orders
- Manage and issue commission invoices
- Assist the accountant with Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), expenses, and payroll reports
- Adapt to changes in work content based on business needs

Payroll:

- Input employee information and payroll data into the system
- Calculate hours worked, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions
- Manage the onboarding of new employees, as well as promotions and terminations
- Generate and prepare periodic payroll reports for managers and directors

**Requirements**:

- 3 or more years experience in a similar Accounting Clerk or payroll role
- Solid understanding of basic finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online versions) and online accounting platforms
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding company and partner information
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, Adobe Pro, and Microsoft Suite
- Familiarity with ACH payment systems and requirements
- Experience in accounts payable and payroll processes
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per hour
