Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Post-secondary education in commerce, business administration, public administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Supervisory or leadership experience, including managing case loads, coaching, training and development, leading staff in projects, recruitment, performance management and evaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience providing advice and recommendations to senior management.
- High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently to accomplish tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise documents for all levels of the organization and external stakeholders, including briefing notes, treasury board submissions, presentations, advisory notes and ministerial correspondence.
- Excellent verbal communication skills when speaking and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage, prioritize and meet competing deadlines.
- Strong political acumen with the ability to manage confidential and politically sensitive material and situations in an appropriate manner.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

**Desired**:

- Good knowledge of the business environment in Manitoba
- Knowledge of Manitoba’s business immigration programming

**Duties**:
The Manager of the MPNP - Business Immigration Team manages financial, human resources, programs and initiatives, and provides leadership to the MPNP Business Immigration Team.

The Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of the MPNP - Business Investor Stream, to ensure the effective and smooth execution of its established goals and objectives, and supervises a team of professional and support staff in meeting objectives.

The Manager works in close collaboration with the managers of the MPNP Skilled Worker Teams and the Strategic Initiatives team to ensure the MPNP meets its overall goals and objectives to support economic growth in Manitoba through immigration.
