**You are**
A **_Program Manager, Children’s Service Coordination and Communication Centre for Children (CSC & CCC)_**. You will provide policy direction, financial and human resource planning and monitoring and program development and evaluation to the provincial Children’s Service Coordination program and the Communication Centre for Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
**Your Role**
- Plans, directs and manages the service provision of the assigned programs/departments, in consultation with the Director of Provincial Services.
- Develops and applies departmental goals, and objectives to ensure program activities are aligned with best practices.
- Provides team leadership and development, ensuring all staff (direct reports) have a clear understanding of a shared commitment to the program and Manitoba Possible’s mission, vision and values.
- Directs timely and responsive decision making through the practice of delegation and accountability.
- Initiates and develops collaborative relationships with service partners, funders and key stakeholders having an interest in or contributing to the delivery of services for children with disabilities and children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Prepares and develops annual operating budgets within the resources available for all assigned departments, in support of the development of the Manitoba Possible Services Consolidated budgets for review and approval by the Director of Provincial Services. Budgets will respect Service Purchase Agreement (SPA) requirements and other funding obligations for reporting and assignment of funding.
- Maintains current knowledge of external services relevant to program clients and their families and to promote and obtain feedback on Manitoba Possible services.
- Establishes a collaborative relationship with other Manitoba Possible programs.
- Promotes Manitoba Possible in a positive manner within the organization and externally.
- Conducts formal program evaluations to measure program efficiency and effectiveness and identify any service gaps.
- Participates in the strategy, writing and negotiation of Service Purchase Agreements and provides both Manitoba Possible and funders with appropriate feedback and reporting as required under those agreements.
- Conducts regular scheduled meetings with staff to review program activities, communicate expectations, advise on policy changes and to share information of general interest to the program.
- Supports/contributes to public relations, public education or community liaison requests.
- Ensures adherence to Manitoba Possible policies and procedures and ensures service provision meets the requirements of external regulatory bodies.
- Coordinates monthly and annual reports on program activity and performance.
- Participates in workshops, courses and professional development activities to upgrade skills and stay current with job related information and methods.
- Other duties (that fall within the scope of this position) as may be assigned.
**What You Know**
- Bachelor of Social Work Degree with 3 - 5 years of supervisory and program management related experience is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in social service program development and evaluation
- Experience working with regulated health professionals
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources that support the needs of individuals with disabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources that support the needs of children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Valid Manitoba Drivers License
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
