Legal Office Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist Paralegal in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis or other legal databases
- Organize and maintain client files and case documents
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness files
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and photocopying
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a legal assistant or similar role
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation
- Strong clerical and organizational skills
- Familiarity with project management software such as iManage is a plus
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail
- Ability to proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
