Sales Representative

**Company Background**
**_Summary_**
CML sales representatives are the public face of the company and are responsible for developing & nurturing excellent relationships with customers on all aspects of lumber sales. The sales representative will report directly to General Manager, Chris Black.
**_Duties_**
- Develop and maintain excellent staff relationships and a positive and safe team environment in all aspects of work
- Complete sales by handling cash transactions, using Point of Sale system and Quickbooks accounting software
- Manage customer orders by prioritizing and completing proper paperwork
- Maximize customer engagement by collecting contact info and contacting them directly
- Resolve customer complaints quickly while striving for 100% customer satisfaction
- Communicate with office and yard staff regularly to coordinate shop orders
- Monitor inventory levels, notify General Manager when material needs to be re-ordered
- As with other positions at CML, Sales Associates may at times be assigned other duties as needed to complement the overall team
**_Experience and Qualifications_**
- Prior experience in woodworking and the lumber industry with superior product knowledge is an asset
- Experience with customer relations and sales is an asset
- Experience operating Point of Sale systems and basic computer proficiency is required
- Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, especially during times of peak activity
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift material throughout the work day
- Postsecondary education is preferred
**_Training_**
**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
