ILPA requires staff to be fully vaccinated, including boosters. Proof of vaccination will be required as part of the onboarding process. This will be a hybrid position, coming into the office (at least) twice a week.
Position Description
The Coordinator, Education will have an opportunity to work directly with ILPA colleagues based in Toronto, Canada, and Washington, DC, USA to support ILPA’s education department, including the ILPA Institute executive education programming, ILPA Webcast series and ILPA workshops and professional development seminars. The individual will provide administrative and logístical support for registrations and event logistics and will regularly interact with ILPA members and industry stakeholders in respect to ILPA’s education initiatives. The role requires flexible working hours during multi-day and full-day events (live and virtual).
Role Responsibilities - Planning, Execution & Communication
- Demonstrate a customer-centric attitude, being able to solve problems and to assist members and other stakeholders with a calm, courteous, and helpful attitude
- In partnership with the Education team, supports all logistics and operational aspects of the ILPA educational programming, duties include but are not limited to planning programs, venue research and onsite logistics, and manage team forward calendar
- Support the registration process for ILPA Institute programs, including member enquiries, managing the Cvent registration process, and WordPress website pages
- Manage education event pre and post communications and collateral shipments to/from programs for participants
- Liaise with internal team and key external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of education events
- Support the delivery of in-person and virtual programming, which includes onsite setup and support and acting as the program lead/facilitator as required
- Offer regular feedback within the Education team to continually improve programming and department operations, ensure maximum value to attendees, and to plan and implement improvements
- Leverage process-design tools, enabling consistent execution and scalability
- Additional projects will be assigned based on ILPA’s needs, the Coordinator’s bandwidth and alignment with their skill set/expertise
Key Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or related diploma
- One to two years of experience, preferably in education program management, event management, or related fields
- A passion for delivering engaging and impactful events for participants
Relevant Skills Include
- Registration and communications best practices; experience with event registration platforms, including Cvent and Salesforce are highly relevant
- Experience with Pardot or similar marketing automation tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Experience with Zoom, WebEx or similar web conferencing
- Previous experience in associations, financial services, private equity/private markets
- Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent ability to collaborate and examples of teamwork
- A commitment to exceptional member service
- Creative abilities and resourceful problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and mindset
- A high level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially while handling multiple tasks
ILPA Core Values
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
