**Arena and Ice Maintenance**
- Assist with the installation, removal, and maintenance of ice surfaces per WHL or other ice related event standards (eg. Figure skating, IIHF)
- Maintain the ice plant and ice resurfacing equipment
- General caretaking and daily cleaning duties including maintaining facilities to a high standard of cleanliness including dressing rooms, lower level, players and penalty boxes
- Perform minor building repairs and maintenance including maintenance of doors and frames, stairs to upper deck, rails, players boxes, yellow lines on steps and plywood floor on row 1
- Install and maintain arena ice including:

- Daily ice maintenance
- Resurfacing the ice including operating the ice resurfacing machine
- Keeping records regarding ice thickness
- Repair hockey boards & replace glass as needed
- Maintain ice plant daily
- Make new ice according to WHL standards and regulations
- Provide appropriate ice for all other non WHL events such as figure skating
- Provide janitorial duties around the facility

**Event Setup and Production**
- This role supports the event delivery team and general services during the off-season and when the arena is not being utilized for events
- Assist with the conversion of the Centrium from Ice to event and back to ice
- Lead role in set up of concerts including stage set up, chairs, drape and operate a forklift
- Execute event setups as per the planning and set up documents
- Maintain cleanliness of event areas before, during, and after events
- Perform general maintenance and janitorial duties
- Operate equipment (ice resurfacing machines, forklifts, skid steer, tractor, etc)
- Maintain job site safety and follow company policies and procedures

**Customer Service**
- Verify setup accuracy and correct deficiencies before client access
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, clients, and members of the public

Here is what you bring:

- 1-3 years of related experience as an Arena Operator I, required
- Must have previous proven experience operating an ice resurfacing machine and be comfortable operating in front of a crowd.
- Arena Operator I certificate, required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a minimum of 3 years of driving history
- Basic computer skills and Microsoft 365 experience is required
