**Position Summary**

The Supportability Manager will lead the in-service management of all elements of the Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS) and the Joint Support Ship (JSS) support solutions. More specifically the AJISS Supportability Manager will manage the team in developing, maintaining, revising, delivering and optimizing the maintenance, supply support, technical data package including the 3D models, obsolescence, disposal and training programs of each vessel Class with the objective of continuously improving the product’s reliability, maintainability and availability but also defining the vision, driving the competitiveness improvement and the maturity growth of the supportability section.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the timely completion of all resource management tasks
- Manage and lead the activities of the section in all areas related to the in-service management of the AOPS and JSS support solutions including maintenance, supply support, technical data package including the 3D models, obsolescence, disposal and training programs
- Conduct management functions required to ensure proper staffing levels of the section such that supportability functions are conducted efficiently.
- Track assignment/availability of resources to ensure proper project loading and completion
- Identify, plan, estimate and manage the supportability activities in accordance with the overall project delivery objectives
- Lead or assist in the development and execution of various plans, processes and procedures
- Build upon the experience of past projects to continuously enhance the efficiency of supportability processes, tools and templates
- Optimize the support solutions by collecting the appropriate data, conducting the necessary studies and analysis, identifying the improvement measures and executing the changes
- Define and deliver the support solution for any engineering change developed on the AOPS and JSS Classes of ships
- Cooperate with AJISS Engineering, Service Delivery, Procurement and Quality Assurance teams in the development and delivery of supportability services supporting the ship’s work periods
- Assist in the development of technical proposals and value engineering proposals
- Lead innovation projects related to supportability and participate in the identification and development of innovation projects for the AJISS program

**Key Requirements**
- An Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic, industrial, reliability or naval architecture.
- Minimum of seven years or more experience developing, delivering or managing at least three of the following Integrated Product (Logistic) Support functions: maintenance, supply support, technical data, training, obsolescence, disposal or logistic support analysis of complex systems or equipment
- Proven experience leading a multi-disciplinary team consisting of engineers, technologists or specialists
- Project Management experience

**Key Qualifications**
- P Eng
- Project Management certification
- Maritime experience in Ship In-Service Support, Ship Repair, Ship Building or Ship Operations
- Experience supporting an operational military asset
- Experience developing Supportability or Integrated Product (Logistic) Support Plans, Processes or Procedures
- Integrated Product (Logistic) Support experience on a performance contract
- Experience identifying and addressing Logistics Support Analysis deficiencies
- Experience in leading innovation projects such as a Digital Twin
- Above average communications and interpersonal skills are required for this position
- Language: English (Essential), French (Desirable)

**Describe Specific need**:

- Requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the ITAR or the EAR
- Requires a positive Controlled Goods assessment as you will have direct access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
