We’re 100km Foods, and we connect local farmers with urban markets. With our help, farmers get access to large, urban markets and customers get access to delicious, farm-fresh food at local restaurants, hotels, and retailers. It’s a win-win for all involved.

**Accounting and Collections Clerk - 19-week contract**

During your time as our Accounting and Collections Clerk, you will be the lynch pin to sustainability. Your mix of financial skills and people skills will allow you to have a tremendous impact on the success of the business, and help us continue our vision.

Success in this role means reducing our collections and making sure all our financial data is accurate. You’ll contribute to this by processing payments, resolving customer payment questions, preparing reports, and working with sales team members to onboard new accounts. You’ll take the lead on proactively collecting on our accounts and execute on available collections plans for accounts that don’t pay on time.

The best collections clerks are experts at balancing empathy and street smarts. They understand our company needs both a smooth cash flow and strong relationships with restaurants and chefs to succeed. They have high emotional intelligence that shows in the way they work with and treat other people.

Growing our business also means finding ways to improve our processes. You’ll help us find ways to improve upon our payment processes so our business can scale.

**The Practical Stuff**

You’ll work both remotely and from our Toronto office, Monday to Friday, nine to five. Although we do not currently have a mandated in-office schedule, some tasks will require you to travel to our office 1-2 times per week, so you should have regular access to transportation when required.

**Qualifications**

You have a desire to make a positive difference in the world. In addition, these qualifications will help you stand out:

- College diploma in business, finance, or accounting,
- Experience with A/R and G/L journal entries,
- Experience in a role where you frequently reconciled conflict with customers,
- Experience with SAP Business One, or other ERP software (an asset),
- Experience in restaurant collections (an asset),
- Regular access to a vehicle or other transportation, and smartphone.
