**Role Overview**: The Project and Event Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of various projects and events for Fete Chinoise and Palettera. This multifaceted position involves coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and exceptional outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Management**:

- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for editorial and event-related initiatives.
- Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to execute projects efficiently.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines and objectives.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Complete internal and external correspondence as directed, including composing, editing, and proofreading word-processing documents.
- **Event Coordination**:

- Plan and execute in-person and virtual events, including annual galas and special projects like Love at Mid-Autumn.
- Coordinate event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, and transportation.
- Manage event budgets and expenses, tracking all financial details meticulously.
- Support the promotion and marketing efforts of events to maximize attendance and engagement.
- Ensure smooth on-site event operations, troubleshooting any issues promptly.
- **Stakeholder Communication**:

- Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams, external vendors, clients, sponsors, and partners.
- Communicate project requirements, expectations, and updates effectively to all stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and mutual success.
- **Brand Growth Strategy**:

- Participate in strategy building for brand growth, contributing ideas and insights to enhance brand reputation and visibility.
- Recommend the right products and services to potential clients/brands, fostering long-term relationships.
- **Editorial Management**:

- Oversee all matters related to Fete Chinoise Magazine, including print and digital editorial stories.
- Execute editorial projects within pre-set budgets, tracking expenses and details meticulously.
- Coordinate editorial meetings, liaising with writers and photographers effectively.
- Plan and coordinate photo shoots and events, ensuring all logistics and styling requirements are met.
- Coordinate launch parties or events to promote the magazine, collaborating with the design and marketing teams.
- **Networking and Representing**:

- Occasionally attend industry events on behalf of Fete Chinoise/Palettera to network and connect with clients + media
- Support the promotion and marketing of annual events and special projects, maximizing exposure and engagement.
- **Grant and Awards Applications**:
**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in project management and event planning, preferably in the cultural or arts sector.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with adaptability to changing priorities and circumstances.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
- Experience with event management software and tools is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for Chinese culture, history, and traditions is desirable.
