**Summer Student opportunities begin in May 2025 and end in August 2025.**

To be eligible for the SECURE Summer Student Program, you must meet the following requirements:

- Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid work permit.
- If you are selected for a role considered safety-sensitive, you will be required to successfully complete a Medical and/or Alcohol and drug test.

**Students are also required to submit a cover letter and recent transcripts. The cover letter will address the following questions**:

**Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy**

The Supply & Facilities team is responsible for maximizing the crude oil & condensate production volumes shipped through SECURE’s terminals & pipelines, and the commercial optimization of these assets. This position will be responsible for supporting the commercial activities of the group.

This position is based in the Calgary office on a full-time, Monday to Friday schedule.

**The Team**

The Supply & Facilities team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on optimizing crude oil and condensate production and supporting commercial growth. With a strong culture of teamwork and innovation, this team values proactive problem-solving, adaptability, and precision, creating a supportive setting where members work together to achieve shared objectives.

**A Day in The Life**
- Provide assistance in the development of new commercial opportunities (Identification of new production sources, competing transportation economics, & optimization upsides)
- Provide assistance in the maintenance of optimization models related to Secure Facilities & 3rd party Operators.
- Maintain files relating to Volume tracking, Pricing, Quality Equalization, Pipeline Tariffs, & Trucking Costs.
- Maintain facility contact distribution lists.
- Liaise with the Scheduling group in monthly volume verifications and apportionment management.
- Assist the Marketing Accounting group in the monthly settlement process (checking prices, qualities, volumes, tariffs, trucking invoices, etc.).
- Participate in the development & maintenance of weekly & monthly reports relating to the performance of the business.
- Providing support and direction for other divisional groups and foster a one team culture amongst operational teams.
- Assist with other projects as required.

**Skills, Experience, & Qualifications**
- Actively enrolled in a post-secondary program in Accounting or Commerce or Economics
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel is an asset.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
