**This position is at our Ajax location and is responsible for the daily activities as follows**:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for the proper functioning of Elexicon's buildings and associated systems
- Monitor and maintain Elexicon's building environments and respond to any circumstances that compromise secure and suitable conditions
- Set up preventative maintenance programs and schedules for servicing and maintenance of Elexicon's buildings, environments, systems, and equipment
- Oversee the work of other staff and contractors to ensure work is completed in compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Advise and give input to the specifications and review of building maintenance contracts
- Other duties as required may be considered part of these responsibilities

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- College diploma in building/facility maintenance, or minimum 5 years related experience in building/facility maintenance
- Trades certification (HVAC, electrical, gas, plumbing, etc.) an asset, but not required
- Class G driver’s license
- Forklift license

**KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Be very familiar with and work in compliance with safe work practices in accordance with IHSA rules and company policies and procedures.
- Experience with building maintenance including HVAC, Building Automation Systems (BAS), fire, sprinkler and security systems
- Excellent organizational, project management, communication and verbal skills with a strong commitment to customer service
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and perform all assigned duties with mínimal supervision
- Experience with trade tools and equipment
- Comfortable working at heights
