**Position Summary**

The International Communications Coordinator is responsible for writing and editing communications and marketing content that supports an integrated recruitment and marketing strategy for the International Recruitment & Partnerships team in the International Department. Primary audiences for the Coordinator include undergraduate and graduate prospective students and applicants along with regional representatives, agents and institutional partners.
- Experience in a writing position with a focus on copywriting and content.
- Experience working in a CRM environment, preferrable in a Salesforce platform such as Target X.
- A proven skill set including a strong attention to detail, proofreading abilities and organizational skills.
- Well established abilities to liaise with groups and individuals both internal and external to the university.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, adapt to change, and excel in a fast-paced environment characterized by changing priorities.

Accountabilities

**Coordinates and executes the communications strategy within the CRM.**
- Coordinates all communications with global agents ensuring data accuracy, compelling and persuasive content and that needs of those accessing from multiple countries and regions with varying needs are met.
- Reviews data and user activity reports for both student and agent/partner audiences from the CRM and make adjustments for new content based on data and research.

**Applies knowledge, research and data to develop content and copy for recruitment marketing initiatives.**
- Design, write and edit student-centred international prospective student content for wlu.ca/international and execute web updates on all of wlu.ca/international web pages throughout the recruitment & admission cycle.
- Creates surveys for feedback on internal process, policy and strategy as it relates to enrolment of international students.
- Researches and presents new communications/story ideas for video/web/print/social media activities, and then follows through with coordinating, writing and executing new ideas.
- Maintains a strong knowledge base about all aspects of programs, admissions, student life, visual identity and branding, and other areas related to prospective international students and applicants, including all relevant research, communications, recruitment initiatives, current departmental and campus-wide initiatives.
- Maintains a clear understanding of the needs, values and motivations of all audiences (international students, parents and influencers, agents) at different stages throughout the enrolment cycle.
- Uses both internal and external research to make evidence-based decisions on messaging and direction of content with a proven ability to distill complex information into clear, concise text for our key audiences.

**Collaborates and consults with staff in campus partners to execute on projects**
