**THE JOB: Administrative Assistant, Insurance**

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $45,037 - $56,297

Reporting directly to the Director of Insurance, this position involves assisting in various activities, initiatives, and projects within the department. The Administrative Assistant supporting the Director of Insurance plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the Insurance department. This role requires strong organizational and proactive administrative skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and exceptional oral and written communication skills. This role will also require someone who has a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively. Responsibilities include providing general clerical and administrative support, taking committee minutes, managing calendars, coordinating events and meetings, managing inquiries, calling members to support campaigns, and database management. The role requires the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively with stakeholders both internally and externally.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- High school graduation supplemented by post-secondary education or technical training, as well as 1-3 year(s) of related experience; OR an equivalent level or related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education may also be considered.
- Superior interpersonal, oral communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with basic mathematical functions and data entry.
- Excellent writing skills and proven ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive written communication.
- Excellent judgment in setting priorities, identifying issues and determining action required when working under pressure and deadlines.
- Adept at balancing major concurrent tasks and projects while ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
- Proven ability to respond to a wide variety of issues and deal with unclear situations and conflicting demands, and to seek leadership direction and support with priority setting when needed.
- Excellent computer skills using Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
- Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI is an asset.
- Knowledge of SalesForce or other CRM system is an asset.
- Experience managing data for report generation is an asset.
- Knowledge of committee functions and processes is an asset.
