Accounting Assistant

**Overview**
Minimum five years experience with solid working knowledge of Canadian GAAP, ASPE & IFRS accounting guidelines and practices.
**Responsibilities**:
- Accounts Management: Oversee the full cycle of Accounts Receivable, review and preparation of customer billing, customer follow-ups, reconciliations and collections.
- General Accounting: Perform a variety of general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly ad-hoc reporting as requested by management.
- Intercompany Transactions: Maintain and reconcile monthly intercompany transactions, ensuring proper recording and resolution of discrepancies.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest software developments and accounting best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes.
- Other finance related duties as assigned by Group Controller/Management.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Intercompany Accounting: Experience in handling high volume intercompany accounting transactions is preferred.
- Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of general accounting principles, with job cost, project-based experience
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and experience with Quickbooks Online & Desktop Enterprise versions and ERP experience (Netsuite) would be preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively in a team setting.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects concurrently.
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
