**Les Femmes Michif Otipemisiwak/Women of the Métis Nation (LFMO) Financial Administrator role provides support for the Director of Finance and Executive team for our national organization.** Les Femmes Michif Otipemisiwak / Women of the Métis Nation (“LFMO”) speaks as the national and international voice for Métis women across the Motherland. LFMO aims to consult, promote, and represent the personal, spiritual, social, cultural, political and economic interests and aspirations of women, Two-Spirit and gender-diverse people of the Métis Nation.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- The Financial Administrator is primarily responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks in our finance department including but not limited to:
Bank reconciliations, accounting system entries, preparation of reports, processing payables and receivables, preparing cheques, processing of expense reports, and other duties as required.
- Assisting the Director of Finance with reporting and other tasks as required.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, able to process basic worksheets
- Arranging post and deliveries
- Preparing, organizing, and storing information in paper and digital form
- Updating records using Excel, MailChimp, and database programs
- Printing and photocopying
- Ordering office supplies
- Maintaining office systems
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors
- Take a proactive role in innovations, and approaches to efficient administration

**Education and Experience Requirement**
- 2+ years of work experience in a professional administration role with experience in financial administration.
- Demonstrated skills in administrative work, accuracy, attention to detail and organization.
- Post-secondary education in an administrative related field.
- Working knowledge of accounting systems and payroll software.

**Key Skills and Knowledge Requirements**
- Demonstrated Computer skills and experience, including effective working skills of MS Suite, and proficiency in Google Suite.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, able to professionally prepare letters, reports, and liaise effectively as administrative support for LFMO.
- Ability to assist our Director of Finance with financial administration tasks as directed with accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, able to process basic worksheets
- Ability to work independently & expeditiously, including working under tight timeframes & with competing priorities.
- Effective prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines and maintain organizational timelines.
- Works well with others, demonstrates effective interpersonal communications, and handles direction and feedback in a positive manner.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and ensure they are effectively communicated to an audience.
- Demonstrates political and cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Knowledge about LFMO and of the needs and aspirations of Métis women and knowledge about our values, culture, and traditions.
- Open to a flexible schedule, may have to work evenings and weekends.
- Able and willing to travel.
