Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will be working closely with our Operations Team to work with and provide direction for the warehouse staff for daily functions. The Warehouse Supervisor will be mainly responsible for overseeing various aspects of day-to-day warehouse and operations functions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee all functions for departments and customers including order processing, picking, shipping, receiving, inventory management, quality assurance, and packaging.
- Ensure that all customer or vendor requirements, carrier requirements, Drexel SOP’s, KPI’s, and SLAs are adhered to and met each day. Make decisions, problem solve and communicate with the team and the Operations Manager as needed to accomplish this.
- Schedule, coordinate and direct all staff in fulfilling daily workload.
- Supervise staff including training, coaching, and assisting in HR functions.
- Collect and prepare information for reporting. Monitor results and provide, with insights, to Management team.
- Communicate regularly with customers providing clear and professional contact point and solutions.
- Develop and encourage a positive and safety conscious work environment, ensuring company and government regulations are adhered to.
- Attend and participate in daily planning meetings with customers and Management team.
- Generate and provide quotes for packaging jobs.
- Coordinate equipment and building cleanliness and maintenance.
- Coordinate and track waste disposal and supplies procurement.
- Work with other Department Leads to flex resources as needed.
- Perform and support daily duties, alongside team, as required.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment focused on wholesale, 3PL supply chain, and/or order fulfillment.
- Experience working in a GDP-certified food grade facility.
- Experience with inventory counting programs. Must be able to train new employees.
- Strong proficiency and working knowledge with WMS/ERP systems (Manhattan, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, JOLT, Extensiv). Must be able to train new employees.
- Strong computer skills with MS Office (particularly Excel) and Label making software (bartender).
- Experience in implementing Lean principles.
- Experience in implementing and writing SOP’s, work instructions, and KPI’s.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Forklift experience, with both reach and counterbalance. Must be able to train new employees.
