Summary of Duties:
The Practice Leader for the National Compensation Consulting Business is a strategic leader who is:

- Responsible for the overall strategic direction of the compensation

consulting practice and whose goal it is to drive profitable growth and look

for new and innovative revenue streams.
- Responsible for creating, developing and executing the compensation

consulting business against an overall strategy that is aligned with our

Consulting practice Line of Business (LOB) goals and objectives.
- Responsible for driving profitable growth of the client book of business and

fostering existing client relationships across the team as well as being

responsible for managing the budget for the compensation consulting

practice.
- Responsible for providing guidance, leadership and people management

for the compensation practice area.

direct team and other practice areas and leaders, as appropriate.
- A member of the Regulatory, Governance, Legal, International and

Compensation Leadership team and contributes to the success and

direction of the national business.

Specific Responsibilities:
Strategy, Growth and Client Leadership- Leads the strategies and activities for growing the compensation consulting business and ensures overall profitability of the practice.- Works with a strong, cohesive team to further develop an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented compensation consulting/management business.- Establishes strategies for services that meet both current and future client needs.- Maintains service and revenue accountability for the overall client book of business.- Supports new business with existing clients and acts as a leader in the development of new business with prospective clients.- Ensures we meet new sales and profitable growth targets for the practice area and is accountable for building and maintaining the new business pipeline.- Acts as a relationship leader on key client accounts.- Leads Cross-Line of Business collaboration and growth initiatives that support and meet our clients’ needs.- Act as a spokesperson, representing the business with major clients, prospects, industry organizations and key outside parties, maintaining the company’s visibility in the industry.- Leads business development initiatives and client engagements including the management of the RFP process with the client, Procurement and Legal.- Leads creation and implementation of multi-year market strategies and business plans for own practice and participates in development for other business areas.

Leadership, Talent Management and Development- Provides overall leadership, guidance and management for the practice area.- Coaches and contributes to the overall skills development of the team to meet strategic objectives and on excellent client delivery.- Focuses on leadership growth and development to better service internal and external client needs.- Responsible for growing the existing compensation consulting team and hiring individuals who have a strong entrepreneurial mind-set.- Owns and drives the employee engagement action plan for the practice.-
- Oversight on the execution/delivery of client services including client reports.

Compensation Focus- Leads the development of a coherent compensation consulting/management practice that delivers a sustainable competitive advantage.- Ensures that strategies are consistently implemented within agreed upon guidelines, restrictions and with the objective of outperforming benchmarks and peers.- Ensures that legal and compliance risk are managed and that the highest ethical standards are followed.- Ensures the firm has the necessary skills and infrastructure to keep pace with the business’ growth objectives.- Conducts all activities within a best-in-class culture of compliance and service.

**Requirements**:
- At least 15 years of business experience that includes 10+ years of relevant industry experience in compensation and incentive-based programs.- A leader with a proven track record of success in leading and expanding a compensation practice is preferred.- A proven business builder with demonstrated capacity to manage through business cycles.- Strong business acumen with demonstrated skills in compensation and total rewards management, and business development within the broader benefits sector.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with diverse groups at all levels within the org
