**Responsibilities**:

- Develop PR and external comms strategies in partnership with the project leads to advance our objectives
- Coordinate the production of promotional materials including releases, media kits, and presentations for our varied programs
- Use digital media to tell our story in creative and inspiring ways that resonate with various audiences
- Manage website content and design to ensure delivery of clear and creative content
- Editor in Chief of our quarterly journal
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, Media or similar
- 3+ years of experience in communications operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinker and creative storyteller who can meet deadlines, often working on several projects simultaneously

Who We Are

The OAVT is the regulatory body and member association for Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) in Ontario with over 4,200 RVT members. The OAVT staff and Board of Directors are dedicated professionals committed to supporting our members while maintaining and promoting the high standards that RVTs bring to veterinary medicine. The OAVT office culture is interactive and supportive; each staff member contributes to a specific aspect of the Association, but we all regularly benefit from brainstorming and exchanging ideas. The atmosphere is focused but informal - well-behaved dogs are welcome to come to work
