Internal Communications Manager

Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience working with the media. They will be responsible for providing communications support to Board departments, working with the Director and senior staff on internal and external board communication, and producing digital and print materials using superior research, writing, editing, and publishing skills.

The successful candidate will also support the management of all internal and external communication tools, including the website and social media accounts. They will proactively seek out positive news from within the Board to share with the community and write press releases, media briefs, social media copy, and internal copy.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a university degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field. They will have at least five years of communications or public relations experience, preferably in the public sector, with a strong understanding of issues in education and political acumen.
