**About Us**:Spawts is a family-owned small business that has been crafting custom ceramic keepsakes in the lower mainland for over 20 years. As a dedicated and small team-driven ceramic production studio, we value artistic excellence, efficiency and a positive attitude. We're currently seeking a ceramic artist experienced in wheel throwing who is able to work independently while contributing to a passionate team.

**Position Overview**:This position is specifically for creating our wheel thrown ceramic products (stoneware mugs, lidded vessels, and porcelain candle holders). There is opportunity for this to be either a part

**Job Duties**:

- Cataloguing and tracking all orders
- Maintaining an organized and clean studio
- Contributing to general studio cleaning and maintenance

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proficient in wheel throwing (3 years experience required)
- Training in ceramic production (post-secondary is an asset)
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strength and physical endurance with repetitive tasks
- Reside in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland area
- Slip casting experience (an asset but not required)
- Having excellent cursive and/or calligraphy (an asset but not required)

**Personal Suitability**:

- Friendly attitude and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills
- Fondness for animals (we have an in-studio dog named Cannon)

- Salary: Pay is negotiable (either per piece or per hour), largely based on your speed and quality of work. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience) to start, increasing with experience in our studio.
