Teach Pottery with North Vancouver Recreation & Culture

We are seeking a skilled Arts Instructor to lead pottery classes for individuals of all ages and skill levels. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for pottery and inspire others to explore their creativity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging pottery lessons, including hand-building, wheel-throwing, and glazing techniques
  • Work with children, youth, and adults to promote artistic growth and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in pottery instruction and adapt to the needs of our diverse student population
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching pottery, with a focus on children and youth
  • High Five: Principles of Healthy Child Development certification, Emergency Childcare First Aid, or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Flexibility to work at various North Vancouver Recreation & Culture locations
