The Functional Lead - Pension Benefits Calculation is an effective leader who understands in detail the entirety of our in-house solution "Ariel EAS" and primarily the component of the defined benefit pension plans. He manages the deliverables of a multi-disciplinary team and he has overall accountability to deliver a product to the client that meets quality expectations and within the planned deadline.

**Responsibilities**:

- Present the "_Ariel DB_" portion of the defined benefit pension plans of the "_Ariel EAS"_ solution to the clients
- Represent the clients in front of our Product Development team
- Coordinate the interactions between the different implementation teams
- Determine and manage priorities of their implementation stream
- Perform ongoing planning of content to be delivered so that all identified pieces of the solution come together at the right time (identify what is required ahead of time)
- Control the scope of the project based on the contract
- Identify any risks/issues ahead of time
- Ensure the delivery will meet client expectations
- Is accountable for the pension plan rules analysis documents
- Work closely with the product development team to build the best possible solution

What it takes to succeed in this role
- University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, project management, or any other relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in defined benefit pension plans
- Fluent in French and English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to tolerate risks and uncertainties
- Ability to influence people in a positive manner (colleagues and clients)
- Aknowledgement of the team's limits and boundaries
- Sound knowledge and usage of technical terms
- Ability to adapt to various audiences
- Acts as a coach, keeps the team engaged, and ensures resources development
- Is able to propose changes to current processes
