The Tour and Event Coordinator position supports the strategic direction of the Executive Council by providing tour and event planning advice. Reporting to the Director, Stakeholder & Government Relations and Marketing, the Tour and Event Coordinator provides support to all members of Executive Council on a wide variety of events spanning all areas within the government’s purview.

Conditions of Employment:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must provide a satisfactory criminal records check, child and adult abuse registry checks
- Must have a Class 5F Drivers licence
- Must have the ability to work outside normal business hours evenings and weekends as required
- Must be willing and able to travel throughout the Province

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in public relations, marketing and/or event planning. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in public affairs, event coordination, communications and stakeholder relations.
- Demonstrated sound judgement and ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders for the purposes of tour and event planning.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively inside government and with external partners.
- Solid conceptual, analytical decision making and problem solving skills
- Strong political acumen with the ability to manage confidential and politically sensitive material and situations in an appropriate manner
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage, prioritize and meet competing deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
