Firefighting Apparatus Sales Representative

**Overview**
Commercial Emergency Equipment Apparatus Specialists are the main conduit between Canada’s firefighters and us. It’s their job to anticipate, understand, and define customer needs for apparatus, put together professional and competitive bids, and then work hand-in-hand with the customer from pre-construction through to delivery of their apparatus. To that end, we’re searching for our next **Apparatus Specialist** for a northern Alberta territory, based anywhere north of Red Deer but preferably in the Edmonton area, and capable of working remotely, independently, and traveling nationally and internationally when necessary. The northern Alberta Apparatus Specialist will also cover the NWT in their sales territory.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Research, build, maintain, grow, and nurture relationships with fire departments within the sales territory to understand current apparatus challenges and anticipate future needs.
- Track, anticipate, and access all public RFP’s/RFQ’s/Tenders for emergency apparatus in the sales territory. Prepare and submit responses.
- Ensure smooth experiences for customers throughout the sales process, including traveling for preconstruction and pre-delivery inspections.
- Effectively manage a sales territory.
- Engage all stakeholders in the emergency apparatus world including equipment vendors and suppliers to build non-customer relationships.
- Perform operational inspections and deliver trucks to customers
**Skills and Attributes**:
- many of the apparatus we transport, sell, and deliver have multiple rear axles. Reliable personal transportation is also required. Capable and comfortable driving larger vehicles.
- Experience and knowledge of firefighting techniques, equipment, and/or apparatus is considered a very strong asset.
- Previous experience with bid & tender response submissions is considered an asset.
