We have an immediate opening for a Dispatcher, working out of our Nepean location, operating throughout Ottawa. This location is fast-paced and relies on a team-oriented atmosphere to maintain and build our customer base, while ensuring customer satisfaction. The Dispatcher is a vital role that streamlines our Eastern region's trucking requirements and transfers, while operating as the communication link between our staff, drivers, and customers.
- Managing regional dispatch needs;
- Managing regional transfer needs;
- Working closely with other regions to optimize rental fleet;
- Expense control and organizing optimal trucking runs;
- Familiarity with Ottawa geography considered an asset;
- Scheduling deliveries and pickups;
- Working with outside trucking companies as needed to meet the needs of customers;
- Fast-paced and attention to detail required;
- Other duties as required.

**Key Qualifications**
- The ability to provide excellent customer and internal relations while keeping a positive attitude;
- Previous experience in a related field, with knowledge of construction equipment and building products;
- Attention to detail and highly effective paperwork organization;
- A self-starter, with a keen sense of time-management, planning skills, and efficient multi-tasking;
- Good communication and people skills;
- The desire to work effectively within a team environment;
- Able and willing to work after hours and flexible shifts, and to adapt to on-call work schedules.

**Additional Qualifications**
- Proficiency/prior experience with Systematics would be considered an asset;
- Technical aptitude of CAT equipment and operations would be considered an asset;
- Prior driving and hauling of heavy equipment would be considered an asset.

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
