**Job Description**:
As part of MLSE's NBA Gatorade League team, the Specialist, Community and Player Development will design and implement programs that meet player and organizational needs while building brand awareness and impacting the community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build and execute player development programs based on individual needs, covering various areas such as finance, personal development, substance abuse, mental health, and more.
- Create brand and community initiatives for the Raptors 905 Basketball Club, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
- Identify collaboration opportunities with strategic partners to enhance team awareness.
- Support Manager, Basketball Operations with player-related services and planning.
- Communicate weekly team branding and player progress reports to relevant parties.
- Schedule meetings to track player progress and address issues or incidents.
- Provide resources and education on life skills, character development, and professional conduct.
- Assist players in building their personal brand, marketability, and long-term success.
- Promote and monitor player participation in league-provided programs.
- Coordinate with NBA G League Player Development and attend mandated meetings.
- Support social justice initiatives and contribute to EDI-related projects.
- Perform other assigned duties.

**Qualifications**:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Positive and professional attitude, fostering collaboration with team members and staff.
- Bachelor's degree in sports management, business administration, or related field.
- Experience in project or change management is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in Community and Player Development (industry experience preferred but not required).
- Excellent management and coordination skills.
- Ability to establish and manage relationships at various levels.
- Comprehensive understanding of NBA, NBA G League, and sports industry operations.
- Experience in client-facing roles, improving relationships and driving efficiencies.
- Self-motivated and able to take direction while demonstrating personal initiative.
- Deadline-driven with good planning and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, modeling, and PowerPoint.
- Positive, integrity-driven approach with discretion and confidentiality.
- Influential and able to bring people together.
- Ability to handle complex situations and diverse individuals.
- Big-picture vision with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Availability for flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability for all home games.
