Reporting to the Director, Strategic Development and Communications, the Communications and Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting internal communications and engagement programs, marketing initiatives, and additional projects as required. This role will also support in the development and implementation of change management strategies and plans and company-wide initiatives and learning events.
This position is based in Toronto, ON office.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support in the company culture that encompasses the highest ethical standards and is aligned with the Corporation’s core values.
- Develop strategies for and support the implementation of the following:
- Internal communications programs
- Communications initiatives and tools for all Business Groups
- Companywide communications such as monthly updates
- Executive Roadshows, and Town Halls
- Companywide intranet, and additional communications as required.
- Create and implement change management plans, including:
- Supporting all Business Groups, Communications and marketing support for strategic planning initiatives
- Documentation for the Board of Directors and executive presentations
- Plan and execute Companywide employee engagement initiatives and learning events with People & Culture, Company challenges and charitable programs, and the Company promotional e-store
**Qualifications**:
- Undergraduate in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent
- 5-10 years of work experience preferably in an engineering, design, or construction environment
- Experience developing and implementing communications and marketing strategies, project management, media relations, internal communications, digital and social media
- Possess a strong understanding of the requirements to succeed in a project-driven environment
- Strong research, writing, editing, presenting, and conversational skills with diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively and critically is essential
- Ability to learn quickly, be flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently with mínimal supervision
- Intermediate skillset in: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
- A strong work ethic and desire to excel with professional development
- Understands the value of continuous improvement recommending new approaches, methods, or technologies to increase efficiencies
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn new ways to accomplish work activities and objectives
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
- Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced and steadily changing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
