**Responsibilities**

1. New Business Development and Client Relations:

- Identify and lead new business opportunities with clients located in Canada and USA.
- Identify and prioritize key accounts and prospects within the territory, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and position the company as their preferred CDMO partner.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and close, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for clients.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, operations, and technical teams, to tailor solutions to meet client needs and drive customer satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive developments, and regulatory changes within the pharmaceutical sector, leveraging insights to inform business strategy and decision-making.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, tradeshows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and expand professional networks.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management, contributing to strategic planning and forecasting efforts.

**2. Market Analysis and Sales Strategies**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Perform competitive analysis in market segments to identify areas of differentiation or opportunities for improvement (enhancements to existing services, new services, or marketing collateral).
- Regularly review forecasts, pipeline, and sales strategies with management.
- Ensure timely pursuit of opportunities and leads.
- Meet sales targets for the following business units: Research & Development; and Clinical Trial Material (CTM) Manufacturing services for Drug Products
- Manage, update, and maintain all relevant activities for assigned accounts.
- Meet or surpass performance metrics (KPI targets) and management expectations throughout the year.

**Basic Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, such as pharmaceutics, chemistry, or biology; MBA or professional business education is highly desirable
- 5 years of experience in the life sciences industry, with preference given to the pharmaceutical industry (including CDMO, development, commercial, and clinical trial exposure).
- 5 years of established network in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
- Strong understanding of drug development processes, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in technical-based sales or business development roles is a must.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and persuade key stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities, leveraging market insights and industry knowledge.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and drive to achieve excellence.
- Business-level proficiency in English (verbal/written).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, without restriction, as needed
