West Park Healthcare Centre helps patients get their lives back by through the provision of specialized rehabilitation and complex continuing care services and a continuum of inpatient, outpatient and outreach care and treatment. West Park’s 27-acre site is being transformed into an integrated campus of care, including a new hospital and additional community based services focused on seniors and people living with disabilities.

With this transformation, West Park Healthcare Centre is growing and so is our Human Resources team. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us and make a real impact. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this position partners with hiring leaders (including senior management) to manage full life-cycle recruitment. This position supports and enhances talent management processes, systems and tools in an effort to build a strong employment brand and attract and retain top-tier diverse applicants to the organization.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources, with post-secondary study in Human Resources preferred
- 3 to 4 years of demonstrated experience leading “full-cycle” talent acquisition processes with successful outcome; and adhering to all legislation, corporate policies, and collective agreements
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work closely with leaders and other stakeholders to define recruitment needs and develop new and innovative approaches, services and tools to enhance their ability to manage their businesses and functions
- Proven ability to operate in a high volume, fast-paced environment; able to meet short-term staffing needs while at the same time building a talent pipeline for future needs
- Solid knowledge of automated recruitment systems and organizational processes in recruitment in the broader public sector, ideally in a healthcare environment with both unionized and non-unionized professions

***Accountabilities**:

- In conjunction with the Manager of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition Specialist colleagues and hiring leaders, develop and implement a resource plan to support Strategic Workforce Planning growth to staff the new West Park Healthcare Centre
- Meet internal stakeholder expectations, while ensuring that processes and practices adhere to employment legislation, collective agreements, and all applicable policies
- Plan, coordinate and participate in talent attraction, industry events, career fairs and outreach initiatives to grow talent pipelines for current and future vacancies
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing West Park at various events and opportunities to market and source top talent
- Leverage tools, technology, and processes to streamline recruitment operations and build talent acquisition capability across the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; successful track record in large and complex organizations, providing advice to leadership teams in corporate and operations environments on matters related to recruitment and staffing
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
