Overview:
The Fundraising Events Coordinator is responsible for supervising and overseeing the planning, design, production, promotion, profitability, and overall coordination of the Northumberland United Way events assigned to them. This Coordinator researches and identifies potential donors, and event participants and cultivates these potential donors, and participants to support their assigned events. They will prepare and deliver presentations or attend meetings to deliver information to potential donors, key stakeholders and/ or potential suppliers. They will source venues, liaise with suppliers, participants, speakers and exhibitors, etc. as required for their assigned events. The coordinator will also be required to monitor the event budget to ensure profitability, maintain donor databases and work with the volunteer & fundraising committee along with the other United Way team members.

**Job Duties**
- Manage internal and external event communications, design promotional materials, and a marketing plan for each event.
- Oversee the coordination of events assigned to them.
- Manage vendors and suppliers and act as liaison.
- Administer event budget, ensure profits are maximized and expenses are minimized.
- Source venues, obtain quotes and conduct site visits.
- Maintain detailed and accurate event files such as exhibitor databases, contact and financial information.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of any materials to events and ensure brand compliance with United Way standards.
- Periodically provide administrative support to other members of the event planning staff.
- Determine parameters, policies and procedures of event plans.
- Develop a risk management plan.
- Oversee the financial and project management of events.
- Produce reports on events which include obstacles and opportunities encountered.
- Act as an ambassador of the Northumberland United Way, ensuring that all opportunities to promote the work of the United Way are maximized at the event.
- Other duties shall be assigned as required.

**Requirements**:

- Secondary School Diploma required.
- Post Secondary School Diploma in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or related field required.
- 3-5 years' event coordination or management experience preferred.
- 3-5 years' fundraising experience considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to manage budgets

**Work Conditions**
- Manual dexterity required to operate telephone, computer and peripherals.
- Interacts with employees, management, volunteers and the public at large.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Irregular hours.
- Overtime may be required.
- Face paced environment and position.

Pay: From $43,000.00 per year
