The Department of Labour and Immigration is looking to recruit for Training and Development Coordinator positions for two of its branches in Winnipeg, Manitoba - the Workplace Safety and Health Branch and the Employment Standards Branch.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Post-secondary education in Education, Human Resources, Labour Studies or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Experience in the development, review and delivery of training curriculum
- Project management experience including organizing, leading and facilitating work groups
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, foster collaboration and develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong research skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal communication skills including ability to facilitate discussions and make formal presentations
- Strong written communication skills including ability to develop course materials, reports and correspondence
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet multiple and competing deadlines
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

**Duties**:
Reporting directly to the Director of Client Services and Technical Support, the Training and Development Coordinator provides strategic support to the Branch in areas related to staff training and development, and corporate initiatives to support and promote operational excellence. The Training and Development Coordinator is accountable for leading, implementing and coordinating government and departmental priorities as well as corporate training initiatives within the branch. Government priorities include, but are not limited to, efficiency strategy measures, employee training, development and engagement strategies, and the implementation of Lean and change management initiatives.
