- You will play a key role in delivering on Radio-Canada’s strategic objective of reflecting contemporary Canada. You will also help the public broadcaster deepen its connections with communities that are underrepresented in its workforce and content. To achieve this goal, you will take part in the activities of the Diversity & Inclusion team, ensuring that projects are successfully carried out while advising team members and colleagues from other departments on best practices for making that happen.
- You will draw up and ensure adherence to budgets in accordance with corporate procedures. You will work independently with some guidance from management and your colleagues. You will build solid relationships with external partners as well as with managers from all Radio-Canada departments. You thoroughly understand the mission and mandate of the public broadcaster, which you will ably represent within the community.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Follow and participate in discussions surrounding the National Indigenous Strategy.
- Advise members of other departments on issues affecting Indigenous communities, referring them to appropriate resources.
- Provide Radio-Canada and its suppliers with greater access to Indigenous talent.
- Develop effective working relationships with Indigenous institutions, associations and communities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Radio-Canada station managers across the country on Indigenous matters.
- Focus on engaging with Indigenous youth and foster their interest in pursuing careers in the media.
- Help training specialists design courses on Indigenous issues and perspectives.
- Develop close working relationships with Radio-Canada regional station managers to drive and support Indigenous initiatives.
- Support the Espaces Autochtones team by providing content expertise or helping with inclusion initiatives.
- Represent Radio-Canada at outreach events and activities.
- Conduct market intelligence on Indigenous affairs.
- University degree in communications, human resources, anthropology, ethnology or any other related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a similar role in the public and private sectors
- Knowledge of, connection to and experience with the realities of Canadian Indigenous communities
- Ability to coordinate
- Ability to learn quickly
- Knowledge of the media production environment is an asset
- Ability to work with departments within and outside Radio-Canada
- Dynamic writing style, with the ability to write attention-grabbing, persuasive or promotional content
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proven team player
- Highly creative and proactive individual who is able to propose innovative ideas
- Strong ability to organize your workload so as to meet editorial deadlines and respond to last-minute requests
- Ability to communicate and work in both official languages (English and French)
