**SCOPE**

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Active involvement in the development, planning, preparation and undertaking of recruitment strategies for Indigenous Students.
- Raise the University's profile by participating in off-campus and virtual recruitment activities. Assist with on-campus activities such as Advisor/Counsellor Information Days, Open House sessions, information sessions and tours for specific or large groups.
- Work in collaboration with the student recruitment team to make suggestions on improvements to the recruitment process and identify new opportunities.
- Lead various recruitment project portfolios, as assigned on a rotating basis.
- Work within the Student Recruitment team to establish annual travel schedule and budget.
- Collaborate with the Enrolment Services Marketing and Student Communications team to provide suggestions on the content of recruitment materials to ensure they are reflective of prospective student information needs.
- Perform other duties in support of the operation of the unit.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of related work experience.
- Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English and basic knowledge (Level 3) of spoken and written French in order to inform and advise students and to communicate effectively with internal and external clients, to assist in the development of promotional material and to give presentations.
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and good knowledge (Intermediate Level) of PowerPoint (to create and work with documents, spreadsheets and presentations).
- Excellent interpersonal, relation-building, and communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, faculty and external contacts.
- Aptitude to work in a service-oriented environment as both a member of a team and independently.
- Outgoing personality who thrives on working with the public.
- Ability to work under pressure, to prioritize work, and to meet deadlines.
- Significant experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, and students; demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous values, ethics, protocols, and knowledge systems as well as the barriers and challenges faced by Indigenous students.
- Sensitivity to Indigenous students’ lived experiences and ability to foster a positive environment.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel extensively and to work flexible hours.
