Jaybird is about experiencing the present moment. We are a contemporary movement studio that believes in shedding the layers that hold us back, forgetting outside perceptions, and letting go of expectations.

Jaybird offers 4 unique classes: 2 inspired by pilates and 2 inspired by yoga. These classes are a non-traditional workout done by candlelight in a heated infrared room and fuelled by good, loud music — a place where you can get out of your head and into your body.

**JOB PURPOSE**

The Studio Manager at Jaybird is responsible for all aspects of performance and operations of their studio. They drive key business results through their team, excellent and easeful operations of their studio, an unparalleled guest experience, all the while creating and implementing smart and strategic initiatives to grow their business.

The Studio Manager is an entrepreneurial, hospitality-focused leader who thrives in fast-paced, start-up environments. They embody and foster all aspects of Jaybird’s culture and core values.

**PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**People**:

- Attract, hire, lead and develop a high-performing group of Guest Experience Members (GEMs)
- Development of sales and hospitality skills within GEM teams
- Performance management and development of all team members through consistent, specific and ongoing feedback
- Maintain people operations for your studio, including but not limited to: scheduling, onboarding, training, payroll

**Business Operations and Sales Management**:

- Ensure excellence in guest experience and hospitality throughout all interactions and studio operations; work 2-3 front desk shifts per week to set an example for the rest of team
- Develop GEMs to handle all guest experience issues positively and proactively; follow up and support as needed
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your studio and implement company-wide strategies, policies, and procedures as needed. Put forward new and innovative operational solutions as needed.
- Create and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed studio goals using internal CRM platform, in-person selling, and community outreach and partnerships
- Create and implement strategies to build brand awareness, brand loyalty, and performance growth
- Run, analyze, and report on key performance indicators, including sales, utilization, retention, expenses, and payroll, and make recommendations to management for improvement/initiatives.
- Create and monitor class schedules with guidance from Head of Product / Co-Founder
- Maintain studio facilities to ensure they are always safe, clean, to internal aesthetic standards, and operating as intended; liaise with contractors and trades to ensure timely repairs and maintenance; ensure supplies needs are always met
- Manage operating budgets as needed
- Manage inventory and ensure accuracy at all times, and support in execution of Retail strategy, in partnership with leadership
- Work cross functionally to execute on community, marketing and product plans, as well as special projects (including new studio openings) as needed
- Represent the brand through regularly taking Jaybird classes, have a clear understanding of what “great” feels like; provide feedback in the appropriate channels to drive an excellent guest experience

**Company Culture/Guest Experience**:

- Ensure the delivery of an exceptional guest experience consistent with Jaybird standards
- Ensure studio branding by adhering to company guidelines and values
- Manage the Mariana Tek system for guest account management and be proficient in keeping our guest accounts clean and updated
- Ensure consistent guest journey from the first class experience through the post class engagement
- Drive guest referral program

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS**
- Leadership experience required
- Must have strong customer service skills; hospitality, relationship building, and community are key focuses
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Creative problem solver
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Experience with Mariana Tek software is a plus

**JOB INFORMATION**

Reports to: Area Manager

Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (38 in-studio hours, 2 flex hours)

Schedule: Must be available to work flexible hours, including some evenings and one weekend shift per month
