In this highly visible role within the supply chain, the strategic planner is responsible for demand management (sales forecasts, customer allocations, CPFR meeting), and for managing the capacity of its factories over a period of twelve to fifteen months (CPR meeting, security stocks, providing visibility on the resources required to meet the sales plan).
Working collaboratively with Customer Service, Sales, Operations, Purchasing/Planning, R&D, and product managers is of paramount importance to reach these objectives.
**Key responsibilities**
Produce sales forecasts by product based on sales history and future events resulting from the sales and marketing strategy, the market or even factories.
Actively participate in the launch, deployment, and promotion of new products by acting as a liaison between Sales/Marketing and Operations.
Define the allocations required when capacity is constrained and monitor products in allocations on a daily basis.
Analyze customer sales trends and propose restocking plans to improve product availability.
Prepare and lead the CPFR "Collaborative Review of Planning and Forecasts" meetings with the clients under his responsibility.
Prepare and lead the Capacity Planning Review (CPR) meetings with the plant team to determine needs and constraints.
Follow up on production planning by ensuring compliance between production plans and actual performance.
Work closely with Operations to optimize inventories.
Identify and suggest alternative production site scenarios for products that could optimize overall costs.
Develop tools to analyze and improve key performance indicators.

**Professional qualifications and competencies**
**Minimum education level**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/operations management
**Minimum experience**
- 3 to 5 years in production/supply planning
**Required skills**
- Bilingual (French/English), written and spoken
- Experience with SAP & SAP BW
- Expertise in MS Office (Excel)
- Proven analytical skills
- Aptitude for presenting information and answering questions from managers and colleagues
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to exercise multifunctional leadership
- Strong communication and team-building skills and the ability to influence others
- Autonomy
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of main operational performance indicators
