**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Associate Director, Alumni Engagement, the incumbent leads alumni affinity engagement strategy, managing a network of local and international volunteers including high level campaign prospects and donors.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leads university identity
- based affinity alumni communities.
- Develops specialized and targeted alumni strategy and engagement initiatives.
- Conducts research and outreach to identify and recruit key alumni volunteers and prospects.
- Develops strategies to deepen relationships with key constituent groups (including building and nurturing relationships, event opportunities and strategic partnerships with relevant student groups and communities for engagement and prospect cultivation purposes).
- Identifies, recruits, and develops an enduring network of campaign committees providing leadership to volunteers and ensuring alignment with UA priorities.
- Manage and curate select engagement opportunities aligned with regional and university priorities.
- Develops annual operating plan for engagement including alumni discovery, senior administration travel, outreach, and virtual opportunities. Provides regular review and updates.
- Establish metrics for success based on unit engagement goals; provides regular updates.
- Ensure relevant contact and stakeholder information is consistently entered into the unit database. Provides advice and support.
- Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with other university advancement colleagues in support of combined mission and goals.
- Recruits, trains, and leads volunteers and casual staff.
- Identifies, connects and engages prospects in key regions and in key communities; helps qualify these graduates in order to feed the pipeline.
- Performs other duties in support of the unit.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of related work experience, previous experience in association or non-profit management, preferably in a University setting.
- Prior experience in the managing of volunteers is essential.
- Very good knowledge (Level 5) of spoken and written English; Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken French.
- Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, resourceful and independent, works well in a team environment.
- Ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
- Capable of working with confidential information; exhibits discretion; welcoming of diverse cultures and constituents.
- Availability to work on weekends and evenings.
- Experience with project planning, management and budgeting is an asset.
