**Junior Architectural Drafting (REVIT) and Field Technician**

You will not be stuck behind a desk every day. Our field team uses technology and do work in building that today there is no training course for. We will teach you everything you will need to know related to using a variety of 3D Scanners, 360 Cameras and Geo referencing.

**Who we are looking for**: What you must bring is Revit skills, eagerness to learn and the ability to adapt and do many different tasks as the role requires.

We are currently seeking a full-time Hourly team member located in Halifax, NS. We do not have an office but completely work from home. Being located in HRM is required for this hybrid role due to the amount of field work done in Atlantic Canada.

**Duties**:

- Being an active contributor to our Technical Team.
- Responsible for supporting BIM workflow and communications.
- Stay informed on best practices with BIM Related Software.
- Utilizing solid technical skills in the production of general arrangement drawings, plan for approval.
- Manage workload in a timely manner, with accuracy and responsibility.
- Utilize analysis to exercise moderate judgement which is generally covered by standards and precedents.
- Interface with internal and external clients to resolve problems and create solutions.
- Project types included (but not limited to) 2D/3D Architectural Models and Renderings, BOMA Plans/Exhibits/Certificates, Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP), Emergency Preparedness Maps and Plans, and Relocation Plans.
- Other duties as applied.

**Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- NSCC graduate in Drafting-Architectural Program (or equivalent)

**Revit Modeling**
- Produces preliminary drawings and other design information based on various data such as point cloud,
- PDF, and CAD drawings
- Understand and adhere to the basis of design for assigned projects.
- Performs dimensional, interference, and basic design checks on layouts and sketches as requested.
- Participates in coordination review sessions.
- Corrects drawings from annotated mark-ups.
- Coordinates and checks own work carefully to minimize all deficiencies, errors, and omissions.
- Maintains discipline project drawing files for assigned projects.
- Produces well-organized, finished drawings of good appearance, accuracy, clarity, and correctness from layouts, sketches, Point Cloud data, and verbal and/or written instructions.

**Field Work (Training will be provided)**
- Technical
- Laser scanning of buildings using both mobile and terrestrial scanners (training provided)
- Processing and registration of laser scans (training provided)
- 360 Pano imagery captures buildings in new construction and renovations.
- Field audits related to building Fire Safety
- Environments include Commercial, Residential and Retail Office towers, School, Universities, Hospitals, Malls, Museums, Government buildings.

Expected hours: 37.5 - 48 per week
