The responsibilities of the 3D Modeling Technician include, but are not limited to:

- Analyzes and adheres to the project BIM standards.
- Prepares finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and layout details in CAD 2D and 3D.
- Works in engineering project collaboration software platforms (i.e., ProjectWise, BIM360).
- Performs quality checks through self
- and peer-quality reviews.
- Works in a team-based environment that involves coordination with colleagues based in different offices.
- Co-ordinates and collaboratively delivers projects with teams of engineers, designers, project managers and architects on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Performs the responsibilities under limited supervision.
- Mentors junior and intermediate staff and provides quality oversight.

**Qualifications** Minimum Requirements**:

- +6 years applicable experience working as 3D modeler Technician on industrial construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in the use of 3D software Bentley - **MicroStation.**

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Ideally 10+ years applicable experience in large multidisciplinary construction projects.
- Hydropower and infrastructure design/construction experience.
- Working experience in 3D modeling using Bentley Software (OpenBuilding Designer, OpenPlant Designer and ProjectWise) is preferred.
- Experienced using common data environments Bentley ProjectWise
- Knowledge of applicable Canadian standards and guidelines.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication
- Ability to work in both the in-person and virtual environment.
