**_ Summary:_**
SJC Print brings 65 years of expertise to North America’s largest publishers, retailers, cataloguers and financial corporations. Reporting to the Vice-President & General Manager, the Regional Business Manager - Eastern Canada will be responsible for the growth and development of our Eastern Canadian clients and our Halifax print center, overseeing the cost-effective operations with due regard to maximizing sales, minimizing losses and ensuring effective people management / development while actively supporting the Company’s values and policies.
**_ In this role you will:_**
- Drive the business by analyzing key financial data, communicating trends, setting aggressive goals and providing frequent feedback and / or support;
- Set appropriate context and direction for the Halifax print center in conjunction with the business development plan, ensuring alignment with the Company vision and / or practices;
- Drive the implementation of company programs by developing actions plans and directly motivating / instructing location teams to implement and meet the operational / organization objectives;
- Plan, identify, communicate and delegate appropriate responsibilities and practices to locations to ensure the smooth flow of operations and achievement of sales targets;
- Identify requirements to meet the changing internal and external conditions and drive business innovation and new customer centered solutions in partnership and with the support of the Company;
- Support the client experience by identifying gaps, issues and best practices by monitoring the sales / performance targets against plans in order to create and sustain an environment that supports consistent superior service to our clients and prospects;
- Work collaboratively with Human Resources to build and sustain a team of reports who are capable of delivering the performance required by the Company;
- Address performance issues in a timely and constructive manner through coaching, training, performance evaluation and / or performance counseling;
- Stay abreast of competitive activity within the marketplace and inform key stakeholders of new developments that could impact the business;
**And a bit about yourself**:
- Minimum five years sales / operations experience preferably in a print environment that includes business development, client service and operations environment.
- Must have strong marketing, analytical, project management and organizational skills
- Excellent negotiation, problem solving and presentation skills
- Proven experience creating a successful teaM/Function
- Demonstrated excellence in managing teams providing service excellence for customer interactions
- Bottom line oriented, budget conscious, and metric/measurement driven
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure and adapt to changing business requirements
- Excellent people management skills
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
