Envision Consultants Ltd. is looking for a bright, motivated, team-oriented person to join our Instrumentation and Monitoring team as a Noise and Vibration Specialist. In this role, you will be working closely with project managers and play a crucial role in providing expert guidance and technical support for noise and vibration monitoring, equipment configuration, field troubleshooting, and preliminary noise and vibration studies within the construction industry.

**As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in**:

- Construction noise and vibration monitoring at construction sites utilizing specialized equipment to collect and analyze data accurately
- Preparing detailed reports summarizing results, trends, and potential mitigation measures
- Equipment configuration and troubleshooting, both remotely and on-site
- Conduct preliminary assessments of construction projects to identify potential noise and vibration impacts and provide expert recommendations for mitigation measures
- Providing your technical expertise while staying up to date about advancements
- Providing guidance to junior staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department’s technical capabilities
- Communicating with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide technical expertise and insights
- Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment
- Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs
- Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
- Any other functions assigned as part of your employment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in noise and vibration monitoring, particularly within the construction industry
- Professional Engineer certification is an asset
- Proficiency in using noise and vibration monitoring equipment and software e.g. Instantel (Thor), Larson Davis (G4), Sonitus, Sigicom (Infra), CESVA, Brüel & Kjær
- Experience working on TTC, Metrolinx, and municipal projects
- Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks in Ontario
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex noise and vibration data sets
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences
- A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
