**Position**: Marketing Specialist, Social Media

**Job Purpose**:
Working as part of the Integrated Marketing team, the Marketing Specialist, Social Media is responsible for identifying, delivering, and supporting end-user solutions across our marketing portfolio. Using their functional knowledge and familiarity with marketing operations and the social media ecosystem, they will ensure that necessary channel and business requirements are met, while providing a variety of advisory services around business process development, implementation support, and troubleshooting.
The Marketing Specialist, Social Media, supports the overall marketing vision for World Vision Canada (WVC) by attracting quality traffic to our web properties for lead generation, engagement and revenue purposes.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Business Management**:
- Provide high-level business support, to expedite digital solutions to business requests.
- Directly manage day-to-day paid social media campaigns and operations, including influencer marketing.
- Supports Integrated Marketing strategy, in terms of acquiring new donors, and cross-marketing where appropriate.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Meta, X, LinkedIn and TikTok Ads Managers
- Support traditional and digital marketing campaigns as needed.
- Support the Marketing Manager, Social Media with all related activities, in line with team objectives and roadmap.
**Reporting and Data**:
- Ensure tracking/reporting capabilities in collaboration with the Analytics & Insights team.
- Engage with and review media performance and campaign analytics.
- Seek and identify data-driven opportunities, in alignment with the functional team.
- Analyze various requests and issues to assess their validity, impact (e.g., number of users impacted), importance, and urgency.
**Planning & Implementation**:
- Translate the needs of business stakeholders into technical requirements campaigns
- Collaborate with other digital stakeholders, to ensure cohesive planning and operations.
- Work directly with scrum teams and other execution-focused agile teams, external partners, third party vendors and agencies
- Stay current with industry trends, direction, and opportunities.
**Solution Analysis and Design**:
- Analyze various requests and issues to assess their validity, impact (e.g. number of users impacted), importance, and urgency.
- Analyze and assess data / system / user impact, and overall system architecture to determine the best solution / implementation approach and methodology (highest value / impact + lowest effort / time + lowest risk).
- Share your knowledge with various stakeholders, execution team, and/or scrum teams by providing information regarding requested changes, their impact, as well as recommended implementation approach and methodology.
- Escalate technical issues related to the referral system; work alongside the Information Technology team to rectify.
**Collaboration**:
- Must be able to work with business stakeholders at various levels to translate client business requirements into technical solutions.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the business processes and day-to-day support.
- Work closely with and/or as part of scrum teams (Agile methodology), sharing responsibility for timely delivery of solutions.
- Manage and lead key meetings, including business discussions and team meetings.

- Seek and promote the digitization of processes that leads to cost efficiencies.
- Aid teams / activities to generate breakthrough ideas, fresh perspectives, and new approaches.
- Create an environment in which all systems and processes support high levels of efficiency.
- Seek new opportunities to improve business outcomes using innovative (unique/original/untried) approaches to overcome obstacles and surpass performance.
- Continually seeks and identify areas for improvement.
- Challenge self and teams to improve processes, reduction of backlog or wait times, increase response times and the reduction of non-value-added time.
- Consistently strive to eliminate organizational technical debt.
