**Job Title: Logistics, Transportation & EDI Coordinator**

**Reports to: Vice President, Operations**

**Date: July 2023**

**Position Summary**

**Major Responsibilities**
- Possess advanced knowledge and understanding of import/export rules and regulations, acts, permits and terms for both commercial and government transactions (NAFTA, INCOTERM 2000, Import and Export Permit Acts, B13 forms, etc.) and be able to advise, implement and follow as required.
- Perform transactional and follow through activities to manage all inbound and outbound shipments from 3PL in Canada/US/Europe
- Work and negotiate with carriers, forwarders, and customs brokers
- Prioritize and coordinate work activities to meet customer demands and special project as required
- Maintain a cooperative, productive work environment
- Respond to difficult and stressful situations in an effective and positive manner
- Resolve issues regarding: Freight, Customs and ED
- Respond to commercial request with high sense of urgency

**Skills and Experience**
- Three to five years’ experience in a logistics/EDI environment with similar experiences required.
- Post-secondary education, preferably in operations/purchasing
- Individuals who come from an environment with an ISO mindset would be an asset
- Strong communication skills, able to influence and explained processes in a detailed manner
- Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage and shift priorities to better support team work
- Must be a dependable team player and work well with others in a professional manner
- Organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Experience with Accpac is an asset
