As an organization, we provide support to the greater Squamish Nation Community through service. With 12 departments with individual areas of expertise, we ensure Community Members have access to necessary programs and services.

**About The Opportunity**:
Working as an integral part of the Ta na wa Yúus ta Stitúyntsam̓ Rights and Title Department, this position reports directly to the Senior Regulatory Specialist, Rights and Title, this position will monitor the construction of the FortisBC Eagle Mountain Pipeline (EGP) to transfer natural gas from north of Coquitlam to Swiyat (the Woodfibre LNG site). The monitor will work closely with the FortisBC environmental inspection team to observe construction activities, discuss concerns, and find solutions. You will be the eyes and ears for the Nation on-site. The role will work up to 12 hours per day. Trucks, iPads and personal protective equipment will be provided to encourage all Indigenous applicants to self-identify during the recruitment process. This role will require drug and alcohol testing in advance of working on site and random drug and alcohol testing may be required thereafter if an incident occurs.

**What You Bring**:

- Self-motivated, autonomous, and able to work in a highly dynamic team environment.
- Extremely organized with excellent communication (oral and written) and time management abilities, ability to provide deliverables under tight time constraints.
- Completion of the Indigenous Monitoring 5-week program is considered an asset.
- Ability and interest to work outdoors on uneven terrain.
- Team-oriented with a positive, approachable attitude and an ability to use facilitation skills to manage difficult situations and find consensus solutions.
- Interpersonal skills, including team-oriented, energetic, self-motivated, creative, patient, persistent, tactful, and conscientious.
- Good time management skills and perform their duties responsibly.
- High level of emotional intelligence, patience, and integrity.

**Salary**: $ 27.47 - $ 30.64 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
