**Job Description**:
The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring timely manufacturing process shop floor Management within the budgeted cost parameters at CGW’s facilities. The position encompasses the functions of Production Scheduling / Planning, Inventory Management, Labour Relations, and Quality Assurance. The position also requires the individual to provide leadership to the shop floor and continuously reengineer the existing manufacturing setups while keeping with up-to-date techniques and best practises.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Schedules work for in-house and allocate work according to customer delivery dates, ensuring a smooth flow of work activity and full and efficient utilization of factory workers & equipment to improve productivity.
- Collaborates with the Quality Assurance team to ensure best-in-class quality and related processes and corrective action plans in place.
- Supervises and maintains staff by communicating job expectations: planning and monitoring job activities and results: coaching and advising on problems: and developing coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Hires new employees as required in collaboration with HR.
- Maintains labour relations by handling union grievances in collaboration with HR, administering and following the terms of the collective agreement and maintaining a relationship with the union representatives.
- Assists in the preparation of the budget and monitors on a monthly basis.
- Leads all aspects of daily activities with Leadtec shop floor control system, including approval of off standards and payments.
- Works with all supporting teams to deliver the Goals and KPI’s set for the financial year.
- Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

**Let's Talk About You**:

- 5 years’ experience in a production/plant managerial capacity at a senior level.
- Experience in leading operations of a high-end outerwear manufacturing with multi-style and quality production ability.
- Must be able to deal effectively with a diverse group of employees.
- Hold experience within manufacturing techniques and systems with an in-depth knowledge of Industrial Engineering concepts related to Apparel Manufacturing (Work Measurements / Method studies / Ratings/incentive calculations).
- A very good understanding of sewing methods and systems for outerwear styles and knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and inventory Management.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, operate proactively, work as a team and handle challenges.
- Excellent common sense & sound judgment, decision-making abilities, interpersonal & analytical skills, and ability to evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Must be familiar with computers and business software such as MS Office, Excel, CAD, and ERP Software.
