**Position Summary**:
The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a confident and personable professional to join our Culture & Recreation Team. Reporting to the Director, Culture & Recreation Services, the Supervisor, Fort Heritage Precinct is accountable the administration of the Fort Heritage Precinct, supporting heritage in the community, overseeing the development of heritage programs, and special events at the Precinct.
**Responsibilities**:
- include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the development and execution of programs and community special events at the Fort Heritage Precinct.
- Maintain contact and currency with appropriate regional, provincial and national organizations to network, access resources, develop partnerships and analyze trends in the area of museum and historic sites.
- Lead Truth & Reconciliation and Indigenous relationship building initiatives at the Fort Heritage Precinct.
- Manage associated budgets.
- Ensure the integrity of provincial historic resources as the City’s Liaison to the Government of Alberta’s Historic Resources Management Branch.
- Ensure municipal historical resources are protected and maintained and that the Fort Heritage Precinct fulfills its mandate as an accredited Alberta Museum Program institute.
- Provide community and volunteer development support by acting as the City Liaison to formative and established not-for-profit heritage organizations.
- Supervise, train, mentor and schedule programming staff and volunteers.
- Develop, implement, coordinate, deliver and evaluate educational and public programs.
- Develop, implement, coordinate and deliver event programming at the Fort Heritage Precinct, utilizing the interpretive themes of the site.

Fort Saskatchewan, home to nearly 30,000 people, is a vibrant economic and cultural hub located in Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Nation of Alberta District 11, just 15 minutes northeast of Edmonton. The City of Fort Saskatchewan proudly manages recreation, culture and historic amenities including a performing arts theatre and a fitness centre within the Dow Centennial Centre and the historic 1875 - 1885 NWMP Fort Representation in the heart of downtown. Located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River, Fort Saskatchewan boasts more than 80 km of paved trails along with many natural areas for residents to explore.
