The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a skilled professional to lead the development and implementation of programs and events at the Fort Heritage Precinct. As the Coordinator, Fort Heritage Precinct Programs, you will be responsible for creating engaging experiences for visitors and staff, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement programs and events that align with the Fort Heritage Precinct's interpretive themes.
- Supervise and train programming staff and volunteers to ensure excellent customer service and program delivery.
- Collaborate with Fort Heritage Precinct staff to achieve service level goals and objectives.
- Manage revenue and expenses related to programs and events.
- Develop and evaluate educational and public programs, ensuring they meet service level standards.
The successful candidate will have a 2-year diploma in education, history, heritage interpretation, museum studies, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a heritage-related position, with progressive experience in supervision, is required. Experience in program development, delivery, and advertising is essential. The incumbent will have a strong understanding of the Alberta Museums Association's standard practices and excellent report writing and oral presentation capabilities.
