**Title**: Manager, External Relations
**Salary**: $94,263 - $111,321 - $128,020 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: 8:00am to 4:00pm
**Location**: Park Royal - Coast Salish Territories of the x?m??k??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx_wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and s?l?ilw??ta?? (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.

**About the role**
As Manager, External Relations, you will lead and manage community relationships on behalf of Health Benefits through communications and proactive engagement with First Nations leadership, First Nations communities, and internal stakeholders. This role works collaboratively to augment the services provided by Corporate Communications and the Regional Teams, and fosters ongoing community relationships through issues management and proactive communications. In this role, you will lead a team with the goal to advance excellence in Health Benefits program delivery through a network of qualified, culturally safe health service providers including counsellors, opticians, dentists, pharmacists, and medical supply and equipment providers. Travel is required in this position and the frequency will depend on engagements and caucus.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university an acceptable specialization relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
- A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
- Experience in Supervising.
- Experience in preparing and delivering advice, briefings and/or presentations to senior management and/or clients and/or stakeholders.
- Experience working with First Nation communities and/or Indigenous organizations.
- Experience in prioritizing and implementing complex projects or programs involving cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders with a broad range of competing or conflicting interests
- Experience working with third party benefit providers.
- Training and experience in advancing cultural safety and humility.
- Knowledge of current health programs and services, claims guidelines, and best practices.
- Knowledge of health related programs and services within First Nations communities is an asset.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
